CBD Flower buds reduce prescription medicines

According to a study from York university the amount of prescription drugs in Italy have been reduced significantly after the introduction of CBD flower buds.

Since 2016 CBD flower (nicknamed “cannabis light”) has been legal in Italy. These buds contain less then 0,2% THC.

According to a new study from York university, this has caused some significant changes in the sales of prescribed medicine. Drugs against anxiety dropped by 11,5%, sedatives by 10% and anti-psychotics by 4,8%.

This is probably explained by the relaxing properties of CBD, the study concludes. CBD is often used to get to terms with sleeping disorders.
