2015 the first NYC Cannabis Film Festival was held. The purpose of the festival is to remove as much stigma around cannabis as possible. This year less people are worried about getting their names connected with the event and chances are that this will be the last festival before legalization in New York state.
Michael Zaytsev is the founder of High N Y, the organizer of the festival. He says he thinks this is just the beginning and that we’re living in very exciting times. However he also thinks it will still take a generation or even more before the stigma is finally gone.
