A bipartisan bill in New Mexico stands pretty good chances to become reality. That would result in cannabis shops run by the government! New Mexico would in that case become the first U.S. state to do this.
Originally the idea with cannabis shops run by the state came from three GOP senators who joined the Democrats in order to legalize cannabis and having the state to oversee the whole operation.
