In spite of reports of the opposite, it seems that no decrease of alcohol consumption has taken place in those states where cannabis has become legal.
In the first states to legalize cannabis use, Colorado, Washington and Oregon, the sales of alcohol have been monitored in a new study from Distilled Spirits Council. The only decrease that was detected was the beer consumption, but altogether it seems as rhe figures of these three states are more or less equal to the average in the nation.
