Ontario pharmacists have to know about cannabis

In the wake of cannabis legalization pharmacists in the province of Ontario now have to undergo a mandatory cannabis course in order to keep practising.

The Ontario pharmacists have until 27 of March 2020 to educate themselves about cannabis. Although pharmacies don’t sell cannabis, it’s important that questions about cannabis and its interaction with other medication can be answered in a correct way.

Legal edibles will most likely appear sometimes in the autumn, so knowledge about their impact is important.

So far Ontario is the only Canadian province to demand from its pharmacists to undergo this type of education.
