The hemp industry wants to boost the allowed level of THC. That would make it possible for quite a few strains of hemp to qualify and thus give greater variety. Change could happen in 2021, if everything goes well.
It seems that the EU soon could change the limit to 0.3% instead of the current one of 0.2%. Some people in the industry wants 1.0% to be the limit, but that is not very likely to happen anytime soon.
